With the help of Mr. Takeo Inoki, a professional coach, we were able to organise a test for the swimmer badge for cubs of all three packs. A total of 30 cubs passed the test with 10 of them attaining the highest badge level. Please click the following link to see photos of Apr 26:

We began the meeting with a new song. We discussed density by showing a video and asking some questions. We then did an experiment on density - to fill an empty bottle with sand, stones and water so that the bottle would submerge like a submarine. See! We did it! Children were then given different types of paper to make planes that could fly the furthest. Everyone including leaders had lots of fun in this game. Jasmine, Celyn and Alexa were our junior instructors on this day. They taught the pack about the facilities and traffic signs for pedestrians and road users. They also talked about the safety regulations for cycling and how to behave safely as a passenger in a vehicle. Cubs were then given four sets of hints in envelopes to find hidden treasure. They had to work out the meaning of various sentences before setting off to find the treasure around school. |
